New work: Quite Clearly Ocean

How inappropriate to call this planet Earth when it is quite clearly Ocean.

Oh, I do love beading. Love, love, love it. It’s like swimming in color. I just finished a commissioned mosaic for a wonderful client in the Pacific Northwest. This is an elaboration of an earlier 4″ piece, “I Dropped a Tear in the Ocean”. This one is 10″ in diameter and was such a complete joy to create that I could barely stand to send it away when it was finished.

For reference, I studied photos of Pacific Ocean waves breaking off the Oregon coast — such amazing colors and textures in the waves.
